Free Home Health Aide Training in Queens - Option 4 – YWCA of Queens
Y Evergreen Care is a sought after home health care service and home health aide training program for women in the Flushing community. Its reputation has been established as a comprehensive and supportive program that offers a pathway to job readiness and employment skills.
The FREE Home Health Aide Training program in Queens lasts two weeks and is taught in either Chinese or Korean. The curriculum is comprehensive and includes the following:
The program incorporates:
- 35 hours of health-related task training
- 40 hours of home care training, which includes 16 hours of supervised practical training
- Participants must pass exams that test their knowledge and skills on a daily basis, as well as regular New York Department of Health exams and competency evaluations tests
By the end of the program, qualified students become licensed by the New York State of Education Department and receive both home health aide and personal care aide certification.
